The law firm of Hupy and Abraham, S.C. is proud to announce a matching donation commitment of up to $70,000 to support the ABATE of Wisconsin Marlene Bautch Memorial Foundation. Every dollar raised by ABATE will be matched by Hupy and Abraham, up to the $70,000 goal, helping fund the construction of a new multi-purpose building at ABATE Acres in Greenwood, Wisconsin.

The new facility will honor the legacy of Marlene Bautch, affectionately known throughout the motorcycle community as “Auntie ABATE.” A longtime advocate, historian and pillar of ABATE, Marlene dedicated countless years to preserving the organization’s history and strengthening Wisconsin’s motorcycle community. Following her passing, her husband, Dave “Twit” Lindberg, worked alongside supporters to establish the Marlene Bautch Memorial Fund in her honor.

The memorial building will replace the longtime structure known as the “Brown Palace” and serve as a lasting tribute to Marlene’s dedication to ABATE and the riding community. Plans for the new 32-by-68-foot facility include a basement level designed for historical artifact storage and use as a severe weather shelter. The main level will feature a boardroom, a small kitchen and an open gathering space to properly preserve and display ABATE’s more than 50 years of history and advocacy efforts.

ABATE’s fundraising goal for the project is $135,000, with more than $24,550 already raised toward the effort. Through Hupy and Abraham’s matching commitment, supporters now have the opportunity to double the impact of their donations and help bring the project to completion faster.

For decades, Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has remained deeply involved in the motorcycle community and committed to protecting the rights and safety of riders throughout the Midwest. The firm has long partnered with organizations like ABATE of Wisconsin and the Motorcycle Riders Foundation to support motorcycle awareness initiatives, rider education and legislative advocacy.

One of the firm’s most recognized safety initiatives is its “Watch for Motorcycles” campaign, which encourages drivers to stay alert and actively look for motorcycles on the road. By reminding motorists to check blind spots, look twice before changing lanes, scan intersections carefully and remain attentive around riders, the campaign aims to reduce preventable motorcycle crashes and create safer roads for everyone.

To further spread this important message, Hupy and Abraham promotes motorcycle awareness through public service announcements, bumper stickers, billboards and sponsorships across Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. The firm also maintains a strong presence within the riding community through partnerships and sponsorships involving events such as the Road Runners Bike Blessing, Harley-Davidson Homecoming, Motovid track days and the Tomahawk Fall Ride.

The matching donation effort for the Marlene Bautch Memorial Foundation reflects Hupy and Abraham’s continued commitment to supporting the motorcycle community both on and off the road. By helping preserve ABATE’s history and creating a space for future generations of riders and advocates.
