The serious accident occurred when one car slammed into the rear end of another, forcing it to hit a third and then fourth vehicle. Emergency personnel from Lincolnshire Riverwoods, Libertyville, Lake County and Lake Forest were on the scene to help treat the injured and prevent further accidents.
  • Family of Wisconsin Motorcycle Accident Victim Searches for Answers The family of an East Troy man is asking that the public come forward and reveal the cause of a motorcycle accident that left the rider in critical condition. The accident occurred on I-43 near Moorland in New Berlin. A DOT video shows a woman getting out of her vehicle, looking at the man and then getting back in her SUV and driving away. The early morning accident is being blamed on a driver who fled the scene of an accident and crashed into a parked car, a taxi and an SUV. Police have charged the driver with failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, failure to keep in a lane and negligent driving.

The Roadside Memorial Act, signed into law earlier this year, allows family members of those killed during an accident with a distracted driver to purchase the memorials and place them near the road for two years. The placards will read, “Reckless Driving Costs Lives” and are meant to honor those killed by distracted drivers.
