August 6 through August 15, one of the largest motorcycle rallies took place, Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, in City of Sturgis, South Dakota. The rally has roared for 81 years and is the perfect spot for motorcycle enthusiasts. Check out some of the highlights!
The opening ceremony kicked off the rally August 6. It featured the Budweiser Clydesdales, a parade and special guests. Throughout the ten-day event, some activities included Mayor’s Pub Crawl, Mayor’s Golf Tournament, Tuesday Tattoo Contest and the Legendary Sturgis 5K.
Another highlight of Sturgis was the concerts. Every night of the rally had musicians ready to rock the stage. The lineup included Colt Ford, Tesla, Hairball and ZZ Top. A large variety of music each night.
Finally, Sturgis hosted a wide variety of motorcycle rides throughout the rally, including the Mayor’s Ride, Ride with a Local, Director’s Sunrise Ride, Medicine Wheel Ride and Veterans Honoring Ride. Motorcyclists were ready for “The Ride. The Roar. The Rally” to take place this year.
