Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Celebration Revs Up Milwaukee
On Labor Day weekend 2013, Harley-Davidson’s much anticipated 110th Anniversary Celebration was held in conjunction with the annual Milwaukee Rally. Festivities for the Milwaukee Rally took place at each of the four Metro Milwaukee Harley-Davidson dealerships while the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration was held at the Summerfest Grounds and designated street parties in downtown Milwaukee.
The headlining musical acts for the 110th Anniversary Celebration were Toby Keith, Aerosmith and Kid Rock. The law firm of Hupy and Abraham held ticket giveaways for Kid Rock. Other notable acts included Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lupe Fiasco and Yellowcard.
Celebratory motorcycle events took place worldwide in Brazil, South Africa, Australia and even Rome, leading up to the event in Milwaukee, which served as the culmination of the Anniversary Celebration.
In honor of Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Celebration, the Milwaukee Rally expanded to six days for 2013, as opposed to five the previous year. Hupy and Abraham has been an ongoing sponsor of the Milwaukee Rally, the largest free motorcycle rally in the Midwest. Each year, attendees can look forward to nonstop musical entertainment, great food, nationally recognized vendors and experienced mechanics ready to install newly purchased bike parts and accessories.
Throughout the weekend, a motorcycle awareness campaign was spearheaded by Hupy and Abraham. The “Watch For Motorcycles” message, which has been seen by over 10 million people, was present on billboards as well as in public service announcements featuring Milwaukee Sheriff David Clark and Madison Sheriff Dave Mahoney on local TV stations.
