Joseph Legas, 52, of East Troy, Wisconsin remains in critical condition after a mysterious accident on I-43 near Moorland in New Berlin.  Legas, a lifelong rider, was found on the side of the road near where his bike somehow flipped.

Though no witnesses have come forward, a DOT video shows a woman, white, five foot four to five foot six inches tall with a thin to average build, get out of her vehicle, look at Legas, get back in her car and drive away.  Police say that the woman was wearing a patterned top that may be part of a medical scrubs outfit.  The vehicle appeared to be a gray SUV.

Family friend Nicole Vandervest stated that the victims family and friends just want to know what caused the accident.

"I just hope this person, this witness, can help us understand what happened.  Give us a little closure."

At the time of this report Legas was listed in stable but critical condition.  The family and police are asking that if you have any information on the accident you report it to local police authorities.

The staff and attorneys at Hupy & Abraham would like to extend our best wishes to Mr. Legas and his family.  We hope that his recovery begins soon and that the person, if any, responsible for the accident does the right thing and comes forward immediately.
