Attorney Hupy Nominated as Fellow of the Wisconsin Law Foundation

Attorney Michael Hupy, shareholder of the personal injury law firm Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has accepted his nomination as a Fellow of the Wisconsin Law Foundation. This high professional honor and distinction is limited to 2.5% of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s members.

In addition to his significant legal accomplishments, Attorney Hupy has earned this distinction by serving as a leader in the community. While building the largest personal injury law firm in the state of Wisconsin, Attorney Hupy has remained actively involved in the community that helped make him successful.

In 2012, Hupy and Abraham, S.C. donated over $200,000 to more than 100 different community organizations. Furthermore, the firm has spent over $350,000 on its “Watch For Motorcycles” campaign that has educated the public through free bumper stickers, billboards, newspaper announcements and televised public service announcements. The firm is also going to similar lengths to promote pedestrian awareness.

Instituted in 1999, the Fellows organization honors members of the State Bar of Wisconsin who are recognized by their peers for high professional achievements and contribute to the advancement and improvement of the administration of justice in Wisconsin.

Back in 2004, Attorney Hupy spearheaded important legislation that prevents insurance companies from reducing settlement amounts for injured Wisconsin riders that don’t wear helmets. After the bill was passed, the governor invited Attorney Hupy to the signing ceremony in his office.

As a Fellow of the Wisconsin Law Foundation, Attorney Hupy will participate in the nomination of other Wisconsin lawyers for years to come and be involved in the organization’s ongoing efforts to promote justice, advance the legal profession and improve legal education.
