As summer festivals, concerts, and community celebrations fill Wisconsin's calendar, Hupy and Abraham is encouraging everyone to celebrate responsibly by planning a safe ride home.

Since 2007, Hupy and Abraham has proudly served as the exclusive law firm sponsor of the Tavern League of Wisconsin's SafeRide Program, making the partnership nearly 20 years strong. Over the past two decades, the program has become one of the firm's longest-running community safety initiatives, reflecting its ongoing commitment to preventing impaired driving and keeping Wisconsin roads safe.

The Tavern League of Wisconsin's SafeRide Program is the largest designated driver program of its kind in the nation. Since its launch, alcohol-related crashes in Wisconsin have declined by 33%, demonstrating the significant impact that safe transportation options can have on public safety.

Each year, the SafeRide Program provides approximately 40,000 rides to Wisconsin residents who need a safe way home after consuming alcohol. Participating Tavern League establishments can arrange complimentary rides for eligible patrons, helping prevent impaired driving before it happens.

As the program's exclusive law firm sponsor, Hupy and Abraham is proud to help make these safe rides possible while supporting efforts to reduce preventable crashes and injuries throughout Wisconsin.

The firm's partnership with SafeRide is one part of its broader commitment to traffic safety and public education. Over the years, Hupy and Abraham has launched several successful awareness campaigns designed to protect motorists, motorcyclists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. These initiatives include the firm's widely recognized Watch for Motorcycles campaign, which has generated more than 10 million views, Attorney Michael Hupy's public education efforts on pedestrian safety, and the DNT TXT N DRV campaign, through which more than 50,000 anti-distracted driving bumper stickers have been distributed.

If you're celebrating this summer, make a plan before your first drink. Ask your bartender or server about the SafeRide Program, designate a sober driver, or use another trusted transportation option. A safe ride home can save lives.
