Milwaukee County Officials announced plans for this year’s Independence Day celebration on Milwaukee’s Lakefront. The Drone and Pyrotechnics Show will be held on July 3rd at McKinley Beach.
The event would not be possible without the support of dedicated partners and sponsors. Leading the way once again is Attorney Michael Hupy, who proudly returns as Presenting Sponsor with a personal contribution of $60,000 toward the event’s fundraising goal.
“After hearing the incredible feedback from the community following last year’s show, I’m honored to step up again as presenting sponsor,” said Hupy. “Bringing people together for a shared celebration like this is something I deeply believe in.”
This year’s event will cost $250,000. According to Parks Director Guy Smith, this is half the cost of a traditional fireworks show. To help cross the finish line, Milwaukee County Parks has secured a $50,000 challenge grant, matching the final dollars raised. Kicking off that effort, the law firm Hupy and Abraham has already pledged $10,000, setting the pace for additional community support. According to Hupy, “because the community has been so loyal to my law firm for so long, Hupy and Abraham is making an additional donation".
Set for July 3 at McKinley Beach, this year’s Drone and Pyrotechnics Show promises to deliver a dazzling fusion of cutting-edge drone technology and breathtaking fireworks, lighting up the night sky in a choreographed spectacle that captivated thousands last year.
