The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum has recently announced that it will be honoring Willie G. Davidson with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame on August 9, 2017.

“Willie G. is not just a brand ambassador for Harley-Davidson, he is an ambassador for biker culture worldwide,” cited Sturgis Hall of Fame executive director Myrick Robbins. Already a pre-2001 member of the hall of fame, the museum intends to honor Harley-Davidson’s “chief styling officer emeritus” and brand ambassador with the Lifetime Achievement Award for iconic work as an “ambassador for biker culture worldwide.”

As the grandson of one of the original Harley-Davidson founders, Willie G.’s iconic work includes everything from shaping the signature sound, look and feel of the brand, to the development of foundational models like the V-Rod and Street Glide.
