A rollover car accident in Grand Chute, Wisconsin left one person trapped and injured inside a car on Wednesday, April 26. The accident took place while the car was heading north on highway U.S. 41 not far from Wisconsin’s Highway 15 at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
The Grand Chute Police Department arrived on the scene and used their equipment to extract the passenger from the rolled-over vehicle. Although there were two cars involved in the collision, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department reports that only one car flipped over. As of now, there is no word on the extend or severity of the injuries sustained by those involved in the collision, as the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department does not yet have that information.
Assisting at the crash site was the Gold Cross, along with the Grand Chute police, who stayed on the scene of the accident for almost an hour.
Rollover crashes are one of the less common types of car accident, but they can often result in serious injury and death. Vehicles that are top heavy, such as trucks, vans, and SUVs, are more likely to roll over than other types of vehicles because they are less stable. In other words, the taller and more narrow the vehicle, the greater possibility that it could roll over. Cars that are lower to the ground and wider have less chance of losing control in this way.
