Hupy and Abraham was a proud sponsor of the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee’s 109th Annual Luncheon. The luncheon was held on Thursday, September 4, at the Italian Community Center. This luncheon brings together board members, judges, elected officials and supporters.
The program started with welcome remarks from Stacy Gerber Ward, President, Board of Directors and Colleen Foley, Executive Director. There was music by the Milwaukee Hittaz, a drum corp. The honorable Carl Ashley and Mayor Cavalier Johnson gave their remarks as well. This was followed by a presentation of the equal justice medalists, which went to Peter Stone and Ezekiel HOPE. The keynote speaker was John Pollock who highlighted the importance of EvictionFree MKE.
Legal Aid offers free legal services to individuals and families across the Milwaukee area, focusing on civil issues such as housing security, guardianship, consumer protection, financial stability, civil rights and immigration.
