Flyer of Pulkkila-Palooza fundraising for Motorcyclist killed by drunk driverOn November 2, 2015, James Pulkkila rode his motorcycle to the store to purchase groceries for his family. On his way back, he was hit by a drunk driver. He was taken to the hospital with severe head trauma and passed away a little over one week later on November 10.

Jim leaves behind his wife and best friend Lynn, two children, two stepchildren, parents, siblings and a host of friends. Those close to Jim described him as hardworking, friendly, funny and a great husband and father. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, cooking out and spending time with loved ones.

Jim had great admiration for veterans and never missed an opportunity to thank them for their service by shaking their hand or buying them a drink.

Everyone is invited to Pulkkila-Palooza -- a fundraiser for the Pulkkila family -- on Saturday, January 23, from 6:00-11:30 p.m. at the Grace Center located at 250 E. Juneau in downtown Milwaukee.

Big or small donations that could be used for raffle prizes for the event would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements for donations can be made by contacting Diane Prodzinski at 414-526-9894 or Joan Groh at 414-349-4310.
