An Abate of Wisconsin member holds a Motorcycle Awareness Month sign at a motorcycle awareness rally as a motorcyclist rides by.

May is Motorcycle Awareness Month in Wisconsin, and with warmer weather returning, thousands of riders are back on the road. It’s a very important time for drivers to stay alert and keep an eye out for motorcycles to help prevent crashes, injuries and fatalities. To kick off the month, ABATE of Wisconsin held its annual motorcycle awareness rallies on Saturday, May 10, at high-traffic intersections in both Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties, reminding drivers that motorcycles are once again sharing the road. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. was proud to stand alongside ABATE to help spread the life-saving message of “Watch for Motorcycles.”

ABATE of Wisconsin is a motorcycle rights organization that works to ensure motorcyclists across the state have a strong voice when it comes to their rights, safety and way of life, and the organization holds rallies like this across the state every year. The day’s events began at Greenfield Avenue and Highway 100 in Milwaukee, where members of ABATE and the Hupy and Abraham Street Team gathered with bold, eye-catching signs reading “Watch for Motorcycles”, “Look Twice, Save a Life” and “I’m Dying to be Seen", all with the goal to raise awareness and help protect the lives of bikers on the road.

Later in the day, the group set up at the intersection of I-43 and Moorland Road in Waukesha, where passing drivers honked and gave thumbs-up showing their support for the cause. It was encouraging to see that the response from the public was overwhelmingly positive. Hupy and Abraham helped support the rallies by placing “Watch for Motorcycles” yard signs at each location and distributing free stickers to help keep the message going beyond the event. Tiger Beyer, a longtime ABATE member and rally organizer, expressed appreciation by thanking Hupy and Abraham and firm President Michael Hupy for his over 30 years of supporting ABATE and their causes.

For decades, Hupy and Abraham has been a leader in promoting motorcycle awareness. The firm’s “Watch for Motorcycles” campaign reaches the public through TV, radio, billboards, stickers and event sponsorships throughout the country. By raising awareness, the firm aims to reduce crashes and save lives. Hupy and Abraham also supports groups like ABATE to ensure that motorcyclists’ voices are heard loud and clear.
