(continued from Part 2)
(Part 1)

Insurance companies in Illinois receive crash reports with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, as do Illinois accident injury attorneys, and call them right away to offer minimal amounts of money.

Very recently, an Illinois car accident attorney sued one of their local police departments because they were supplying reports to the insurance companies but were denying their requests based on FOIA. The department settled the lawsuit and now allows that firm as well as our Hupy and Abraham Illinois location to view reports.

Our clients have reported that insurance companies tell them that their claims need to be resolved within 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, etc., or it will be denied. Many of our new clients say that the reason they call us is because they’re concerned about these pressures from the insurance companies, as they are still in treatment for their injuries and don’t want to settle.

Don’t settle on a weak offer from insurance companies like Progressive. Contact Hupy and Abraham before accepting or signing anything,

Again, accepting an early and quick settlement could prevent someone from EVER pursuing recovery for claims stemming from an accident or any further action. We caution the public to be aware of this kind of behavior from at-fault insurance companies and to please make your family and friends aware as well.
