On October 10, 2013, personal injury law firm Hupy and Abraham sponsored the “Pinktacular Salute to Survivors” event, benefitting the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse. As the “Survivor Luncheon Sponsor,” the firm provided the salad and dessert that everyone enjoyed at the event. In addition, Attorney Michael Hupy and his wife, Suzanne, personally sponsored the event, as they have for many years. In fact, at the beginning of the event, Attorney Hupy and Suzanne were asked to stand and were recognized in front of the crowd of over 500 people for their dedication to the cause.
The event was centered around a fashion show that featured cancer survivors and support people as models. Each stylishly dressed survivor and support person walked down the runway while the MC, Joyce Garbaciak of WISN TV, briefly shared their stories with the audience.
Each of the models successfully persevered through either breast cancer or prostate cancer and chose a support person who was especially instrumental in aiding their recovery. Many of the survivors were accompanied by their spouse, a sibling or child, or close personal friend.
For years, Hupy and Abraham has been a loyal supporter of the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse. In 2004, Attorney Hupy donated the use of a home for a fundraising event in which visitors pledged a donation for a tour of the home. To date, the firm has donated 10s of $1000s of dollars to this important cause. Proceeds from the fundraiser go to the Medical College of Wisconsin for breast cancer research.
