The Children’s Outing Association (COA) Youth and Family Centers held its “Night with the Stars “at the Saint Kate Hotel Saturday, May 18. The event brought together community leaders, corporate professionals and friends and family affiliated with COA. Jill Wellskopf, Marketing Director, represented Hupy and Abraham at the event.
Guests were welcomed into the Saint Kate Hotel and given the opportunity to participate in fund-raising activities, including a silent auction. The event was emceed by Mark Baden, chief meteorologist at WISN TV Channel 12. The cocktail hour was followed by dinner and presentations of awards. Proceeds from the gala will support COA’s mission to provide life-changing programs like early child development, youth development and community development centered around family. Additionally, funds raised go toward proving traditional camp experiences for hundreds of Milwaukee’s youth at COA’s Camp Helen Brachman (CHB), located in central Wisconsin.
COA Youth and Family Centers is an organization that assists Milwaukee children, teens and their families to reach their greatest potential through a thorough system offering educational, recreational and social work programs. For over 100 years, COA has championed diversity and cooperation to promote growth and positive social interaction, so its participants can develop the skills allowing them to live better, healthier and more connected lives.
Attorney Michael Hupy, president of Hupy and Abraham, served on the board of directors for COA for seven years and has been named one of the organization’s “Parents of the Year” along with his wife, Suzanne. “Parents of the Year” recognizes the critical role of parents in the growth of children’s lives.
