On October 3, 2014, Hupy and Abraham participated in Lee Denim Day® to benefit the American Cancer Society and breast cancer research. Forty-seven percent of Hupy and Abraham employees donated almost $500 for the fight against breast cancer during this year’s Denim Day. That donation amount is up 30 percent from 2013, and the number of participants went up 36 percent from last year’s 53 employees who took part in the fundraiser. Breast cancer will affect over 232,000 people and their families this year and these donations will help improve the lives of those battling the disease.

Since 1996, Lee Jeans and the American Cancer Society has dedicated the first Friday in October to this cause. The fundraiser calls for employees of various companies to donate $5 or more in exchange for wearing jeans to work. Denim Day participants have raised more than $91 million since the program’s beginning. Donations from Denim Day help the American Cancer Society conduct research to fight breast cancer, ensure patients’ access to free programs and provide any additional support for those affected by the disease.

Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has been a longtime supporter of breast cancer awareness and fundraising. Recently, the firm was a sponsor at the 2014 Pinktacular Salute to Survivors Event that benefited the Breast Cancer Showhouse of Wisconsin.
