Several members of the Hupy and Abraham Madison office are members of the Madison Area Paralegal Association (MAPA), a nonprofit associated with the National Association of Legal Assistants. MAPA’s main focus is to provide educational opportunities for professional development and to promote the paralegal profession.
MAPA has a strong commitment to other groups and organizations in the community, and partakes in a number of events each year. One event is a toy drive run by Joining Forces for Families. JFFF combines local and county organizations to ensure the success of children, youth and families by looking for new ways to maintain the health of the community and to better meet human needs. Every year for its annual meeting in November, MAPA collaborates with JFFF and the downtown Madison YMCA and conducts a toy drive for the holiday season. This drive helps children and families receive items most people take for granted, such as school supplies and presents.
The Madison paralegals along with the firm gave monetary donations to this year’s drive. The Madison office also bought toys and baby wipes as donations.
This summer, the Veterans Law Center in Madison was awarded the Pro Bono Organization of the Year award. As part of giving back to the community it serves, Hupy and Abraham's Madison personal injury lawyers and team members have dedicated many hours volunteering at the center.
