Hundreds of guests gathered at the Bradley Pavilion at the Marcus Performing Arts Center in Milwaukee November 3, 2023, for the American Cancer Society Champions of Hope Gala. This is a one-of-a-kind evening that featured great keynote speakers along with a dinner and both silent and live auctions. Hupy and Abraham was a sponsor of the event and employees of the firm, including Attorney Tom Perlberg, were in attendance to support cancer research.
The goal of the Champions of Hope Gala was to raise awareness and funds for the fight against all types of cancer, with the hope of giving everyone the opportunity to prevent, detect, treat and survive the cancer that they may face. The event started with a silent auction and dinner, followed by an honoree keynote speaker. Every year, the organization picks someone who is a champion for the fight against cancer as an honoree. The 2023 Honoree was Frank Gimbel, a Milwaukee attorney who fought and won his battle against non-Hodgkins lymphoma and is a supporter of the fight against all cancers. The event raised tens of thousands of dollars for the fight against cancer through donations, live and silent auction items and sponsorships.
Hupy and Abraham has been proud to support the American Cancer Society’s efforts for decades and was a “Supporter Sponsor” at the Champions of Hope Gala. In the past, President of Hupy and Abraham Michael Hupy and Managing Partner Jason Abraham have been involved in many fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society, including hosting a night as “Celebrity Bartenders” to support the organization. The American Cancer Society works to support doctors and scientists to find cures for each and every cancer, investing more than $5 billion into research since 1946. The American Cancer Society also supports families who are fighting cancer with patient support including providing free nights of lodging to them and offering a 24/7 helpline to answer any questions and give support to those in need. Hupy and Abraham is proud to continue support for this great organization.
