feeding the community

In the spirit of holiday giving, Hupy and Abraham happily makes yearly donations to various Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa organizations that provide hundreds of families with holiday meals. As the firm has grown, it has always had a desire to give back to the communities that has made it successful.

For the last several years, Hupy and Abraham has partnered with Tiayasha Johnson and her family for a Holiday Basket Giveaway, which they have been facilitating for 20 years. This year will mark the 38th Holiday Basket Giveaway in Milwaukee sponsored by Hupy and Abraham. This particular giveaway takes place at the Milwaukee Pick ‘n Save on North 35th Street each year where volunteers assemble baskets for at least 100 families who otherwise could not afford a Thanksgiving meal. Shareholder Attorney Chad Kreblin has happily helped out each year. These baskets will be distributed on Wednesday, November 18. As it has in the past, the firm will also send food baskets to food pantries in Waukegan and Rockford this year.

New in 2015, Hupy and Abraham will also participate in 99.1 The Mix’s “Stuff the Bus” event on Wednesday, November 25. For the past 17 years, 99.1 The Mix has hosted this single day food drive – the largest in the Midwest. Since its inception, the event has collected more than 3 million pounds of nonperishable food items for Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin and helped to feed over 300,000 needy Wisconsin families. Hupy and Abraham will be present at the event as managing partner Jason Abraham gives an on-air interview from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. when announcing the firm’s donation. The event will take place at the New Berlin Pick ‘n Save while The Mix broadcasts live and encourages listeners to donate.

Hupy and Abraham has a yearly tradition of making charitable contributions to the community in lieu of sending out holiday cards to clients. As a result, hundreds of families are touched each year and enjoy a holiday meal that may not have otherwise been possible.

Hupy and Abraham would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season, and we hope to see you at “Stuff the Bus!”
