In Lake County, Illinois, during early January 2010, our Waukegan-resident client was stopped, waiting to make a left turn, when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle that crossed over the center median. The defendant claimed she was struck by a phantom vehicle, forcing her vehicle across traffic.
Allstate denied the claim and offered no compensation for our client’s injuries.
Hupy and Abraham in Gurnee, Illinois, did not accept the insurance company’s denial or the defendant’s absurd claim that a phantom vehicle caused the accident. During the deposition of the defendant, Attorney Vito J. Manicioto was able to show that there was no evidence to substantiate the defendant’s version of the events that took place the evening of the accident.
Shortly after the depositions, the insurance company reversed its denial of the claim and settled the case for $25,000, fairly compensating our client for his injuries.
