Dear Hupy and Abraham,
Summer is a great time of year, and I hope you had a happy 4th of July holiday! It is time to reflect how fortunate we are to live in a country where we have many freedoms, among them recreation in the great outdoors. And for us that includes the awesomeness of Dual Sport and Adventure Motorcycle riding.
On that happy note, the Wisconsin Dual Sport Riders THANK YOU for sponsoring our 2016 Ride and Research! With your support, the event was even larger than last year’s record event! 223 riders enjoyed a great weekend of camaraderie and spectacular riding across the north woods of Wisconsin. From our event headquarters in Wabeno we offered 3 rider options, and all were well attended. We had the Dual Sport Off-Road ride, and Adventure Ride for big bikes, and the Dual Sport 101 Introductory route.
Including the Saturday evening dinner auction and raffle, the riders raised $14,000 for the UW Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, Wisconsin. This money directly supports the daily research work of the laboratory staff.
The Big Woods 200 is September 24-25 and registration is open. But, before we look ahead, we recognized none of this would happen without you. Let me say again – we can’t do this without you! Our club members, event riders, and UW Carbone Cancer Center staff, are thankful of your generous support!
