Hupy and Abraham employees at SHARP Literacy Unwrapped 2022 Fundraiser

Thursday, May 19, 2022, Hupy and Abraham, S.C. was a proud sponsor of SHARP Literacy’s seventh annual “Unwrapped” fundraiser at the 3rd St. Market Hall in downtown Milwaukee. The fundraising event featured local chefs who created gourmet appetizers, entrees and desserts using only McDonald’s ingredients.

Guests of Unwrapped were invited to try the chef’s dishes, participate in the gift card and wine pulls, vote in the Milwaukee student drawing contest, take photos in the the Selfie Museum and participate in the silent auction. Proceeds of the event went toward funding the organization’s essential STEAM-based educational programs for thousands of southeastern Wisconsin students.

During a brief ceremony, each local chef had the opportunity to explain their dish and what inspired it. Lynda Kohler, President and CEO of SHARP Literacy, presented two “Bartolotta Partners of the Year” awards, which went to Hannah Kitzerow, SHARP Young Professionals Board president and Saz’s Hospitality Group director of festivals and community engagement.

SHARP Literacy is celebrating its 25th anniversary and has a mission to partner with educators to foster a love of learning and brighten children’s futures through innovative STEAM-based programming. Hupy and Abraham has been a longtime supporter of SHARP Literacy and has sponsored a number of events and has featured Lynda Kohler on the “Tell Them You Mean Business” podcast.
