Hupy and Abraham employees at Ovations Communities event

On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, the Ovation Communities organization celebrated its annual “In-Ovation” Luncheon event. This lunch marked the second year of existence and was sponsored by Hupy and Abraham, S.C. Attorney Jason Abraham, Managing Partner of Hupy and Abraham, was present, alongside his wife, Andi, and other firm employees. Andi was on the “In-Ovation” planning board.

Ovation Communities has provided numerous services that support the elderly and their families through various stages of life with comfort, meaning and dignity.

Throughout the event program, Michael Sattel, President and CEO of Ovation Communities, told stories of veteran medical staff and volunteers that have aided in maintaining a high level of service for residents. A series of videos were shown detailing the relationship between Ovations and various organization figures. There was a moment of recognition for Joshua Gimbel, the Outgoing Board Chair for the Jewish Home and Care Center Foundation.

Toward the end of the afternoon, an appeal for support of the Geriatric Career Development Program (GCD), which works with local high school students. After observing the abysmal graduation rates from Milwaukee area schools, Ovation Communities implemented the curriculum. GCD is an explicit investment in young people and the nation’s future, and focuses on giving students tools and opportunities to become community leaders.

Donations from “In-Ovation” directly support the incoming class of 17 sophomore students, joining the inaugural 10 junior students currently in the GCD program. The organization raised nearly $40,000 at the luncheon. Hupy and Abraham is proud to openly give to local programs dedicated to improving the quality of life for everyone.
