Hupy and Abraham sponsors Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity

On October 3, 2019, Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity held the “Framing the Future” Gala at their city warehouse headquarters. The annual fundraising event, sponsored by Hupy and Abraham, hosted hundreds of guests for a fun-filled night of networking, silent and live auctions and a three-course dinner, all to benefit local families in need of safe and affordable housing. Hupy and Abraham employees were in attendance, along with friends of the firm, to help raise funds for the community organization.

The event was emceed by Portia Young of Sargento Cheese who thanked everyone for helping work toward Habitat’s mission of bringing “people together to build homes, communities and hope.” A portion of the program highlighted a family that was able to move from a dangerous living situation to a safe and affordable place to live, all because of the volunteers who helped build their home. The event also highlighted former Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity board president and volunteer Bob Patton, honoring him for all the work he has done to help build homes for those in need. Through donations, auction bids and the generosity of many sponsors like Hupy and Abraham, the event was able to raise a record-breaking amount of over $370,000. The money will directly help provide affordable housing for local families.

Hupy and Abraham has been a proud sponsor of Habitat for Humanity in Milwaukee, and other communities the firm practices in, for many years. Hupy and Abraham employees are currently helping to build a Habitat for Humanity home in Waukesha and have been volunteering at other Habitat homes and events across Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. The firm is proud to support organizations like Habitat for Humanity who help make our local communities a better place.
