Hupy and Abraham, S.C. sponsored SHARP Literacy’s 14th annual “A Novel Event” luncheon on September 28, 2015. SHARP provides children in the Milwaukee area opportunities to better their reading skills, writing skills, and supports their academic efforts so they stay in school. Attorneys Thomas Perlberg, Timothy Schelwat and Todd Korb attended the luncheon as firm representatives.

Actor Henry Winkler, known for his iconic role as the “Fonz” on television’s “Happy Days,” was the event’s keynote speaker. As a dyslexic, Winkler emphasized the importance of supporting children that learn in unconventional ways. He recounted his struggles over the course of his education and read excerpts from one of the 30 books he has authored for young children. Prior to his speech, Winkler provided signatures on special leather jackets that were sold during a donation period for funds toward SHARP.
Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has sponsored events by SHARP Literacy in the past, and has been an avid supporter of quality education for Milwaukee’s children.
