Hupy and Abraham Managing Partner Jason Abraham and Director of Marketing Jill Wellskopf attended Make-A-Wish Wisconsin’s 6th Annual “Yacht Blast for Kids 2014” the afternoon of Saturday, August 16.
Over 30 boat owners donated their time and yachts to give “Wish Kids” and their families boat rides on the Milwaukee Harbor. The event also included a classic car show – “Classics for Kids.” The day’s festivities continued with the “VIP After Blast” hosted by the Milwaukee Yacht Club which included refreshments, entertainment, raffles and auctions—all proceeds went to Make-a-Wish Wisconsin. The event helped raise funds to grant six wishes for some local children.

Make-A-Wish Wisconsin grants the wishes of children ages 2½ to 18 with life-threatening medical conditions. Granting these wishes helps kids feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle these dangerous medical conditions. The organization also strives to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy for them and their families.
Madison Regional Director Nicole Williams sent a letter thanking the firm for its gift to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin through the Capital City Riders Poker Run event, which will help grant the wish of Megan, age 4, who wished to go on a Disney cruise this year.
Williams wrote, “We so appreciate your generosity! Thanks for making Megan’s wish come true!” The letter also mentioned that hundreds of wishes are in progress throughout the state.
In addition, Hupy and Abraham will be present at the Fox Cities “Walk for Wishes” event. “Walk for Wishes” is a 5k or one-mile walk/run benefiting Make-A-Wish Wisconsin. The event raised almost $30,000 in 2013 and the entire Appleton Hupy and Abraham office will be attending this year’s event to support the cause. 2014 marks the 30-year celebration of granting magic for local children. The event will take place Saturday, September 6, at the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans grounds in Appleton.
