Attorney Robert Domol at the 2014 "Walk for Wishes" event.

Make-A-Wish Wisconsin held a “Walk & Run for Wishes” event on September 6, 2014, to help children from the state with life-threatening medical conditions. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. was a sponsor for the event to help hundreds of children gain the strength and courage to continue the fight against their illnesses and disabilities by granting them wishes.

Kris Teofilo, Regional Director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation wrote Hupy and Abraham a personal letter and thanked the firm for its generous support. Having a wish granted “improves a child’s state of mind by replacing fear with happiness and helping them feel like a normal kid again,” Teofilo said in the letter.

Since 1984, Make-A-Wish Wisconsin has been working with businesses and organizations in the community to help children and their families during difficult times. 2013 was a record-breaking year for Make-A-Wish with 340 wishes granted. Now, more than 5,000 families can feel the impact that a granted wish makes for these children.

Make-A-Wish projects that in this year alone, more than 500 Wisconsin children will be diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Currently, more than 280 wishes are in progress, with children wanting to meet the Green Bay Packers, visit Bora Bora, and to go to Walt Disney World Resort.

Hupy and Abraham, S.C. continues to support the surrounding community and has given over $500,000 to over 100 worthwhile causes in the past 3 years.
