For the 10th year in a row, Hupy and Abraham is proud to continue its support for the Tavern League of Wisconsin’s SafeRide Program.
SafeRide is funded by the Tavern League of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, as well as Hupy and Abraham. They also receive partial funding from fines collected for drunk driving convictions.
The goal of eliminating drunk driving is why SafeRide was created. The program offers free rides home for customers at participating bars. The program is offered in 60 counties throughout Wisconsin. Any participating location will have the SafeRide logo. All you do is ask the bartender or waitress and they will give you a voucher to get a safe ride home.
In just the last year, the program has provided 42,347 rides. Since the start of SafeRide, the state has seen a 44% decline in OWI convictions and a 50% decline in alcohol-related fatalities.
Hupy and Abraham also promotes several programs to bring awareness to distracted driving, such as texting and driving. Join others who are committed to safe driving and take the pledge today.
