On October 23, 2015, the Rockford Park District held its “Ties and Tennies” event. The annual fundraising event provided a variety of entertainment and several auctions to raise money for youth programs in the Rockford area. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. was a sponsor of the event, and firm representatives were in attendance. All proceeds from the evening’s efforts went toward reducing equipment, maintenance costs and other important fees.

The “Ties and Tennies” name originates from the event’s dress code. Attendees are encouraged to wear a combination of formal attire and athletic footwear. Rockford Park District’s mission is “helping people enjoy life,” and shows that recreation can be fun, unique and affordable. Last year, the executive director of the Rockford Park District thanked the firm for its support of the event and wellness for the community’s youth.
