That is a hard question that is up for debate. For some, the answer is largely personal. If you have been hurt, or if you have lost a loved one, in a Wisconsin car accident then that was likely the worst car accident for you.

When looking at state traffic accident history as a whole, however, one of the worst accidents that ever occurred may have been on October 11, 2002, in Sheboygan County. The crash occurred on Interstate 43 near Cedar Grove. Fifty vehicles collided, resulting in 10 deaths and 39 injuries. While the exact cause of the crash still remains unclear, foggy weather conditions are thought to have played a role in that accident.

Most of us will be able to avoid multi-vehicle collisions of that magnitude while traveling on Wisconsin roads. However, we may not be able to avoid all Wisconsin and Milwaukee auto accidents. If you have been hurt in a crash then it is important to know that you may have the right to recover damages. Your damages may include compensation for past, present and future medical expenses, lost income, out-of-pocket costs and pain and suffering.
