Our client was rear-ended on a highway off-ramp during snowy weather conditions. He was driving slowly on the ramp due to conditions and because there was a disabled vehicle pulled over to the side of the ramp. He was rear-ended by a pickup truck.
He suffered whiplash-type injuries and an aggravation of neck pain that he suffered before the accident. The insurance company offered $45,000 to settle the case, and argued that the crash did not aggravate our client’s neck pain.
Attorney Robert Domol filed a lawsuit and settled the case at mediation for $70,000. This settlement covered all of the accident-related medical bills and included a fair amount for our client’s pain and suffering.
