$160,000 For Injured Construction Worker

While working as a welder on a construction site, our client was injured when a negligent contractor knocked a large metal post onto him. He sustained fractures in his thoracic spine, as well as a fractured left scapula with nerve damage. Although the fractures did not require surgery, in order to heal properly, our client had to keep his arm in a sling nearly constantly for over a month with limited use for months after that. It wasn’t until nearly 10 months after the accident that he was cleared to resume work without restrictions.

The insurance company initially denied the claim. Attorney Doug Ross refused to accept the denial and filed suit. Numerous depositions were taken to investigate the basis of the denial. Thereafter, the case settled at mediation for $160,000, representing a fair outcome for the case.
