Our client suffered neck, back, knee and arm injuries in a motor vehicle crash. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his boss.
The tortfeasor - the individual responsible for the accident that lead to injury - was underinsured, and his insurance company offered its limits given the severity of our client’s injuries. A claim was made with the employer’s uninsured motorist carrier. The uninsured motorist carrier denied the claim stating that the client was made whole as a result of the settlement with the tortfeasor. A lawsuit was filed. Shortly after our client’s deposition, the case settled with the uninsured motorist carrier for $15,000.
