Hupy and Abraham, S.C. President Michael Hupy has announced a new commitment with the Milwaukee Area Technical College’s Promise Program. The donation, in the amount of $3,500, will help outgoing health care students take their final examinations and certification tests. This is a personal donation, directly from Attorney Hupy himself.
Attorney Hupy’s intentions for donating are to provide graduates who have significant financial need some relief against the stress examinations bring.
In 2016, MATC launched the Promise Program as the first of its kind in Wisconsin, as an opportunity for high school students who dreamed of attending college. 2018 saw an expansion of the initiative to adults aged 24 and older. The program created an avenue for these students to complete their unfinished degrees. Since fall 2016, 514 new high school graduates have participated in the Promise Program, while 1,000 adults enrolled for that program’s first academic year.
In more than 60% of the health care academic programs, students must pay to obtain a license and gain employment. Now more than ever, it is important to support medical staff and frontline heroes that are leading the fight against COVID-19 every day.

Attorney Hupy's donation ensures that MATC will continue to grow and provide even more opportunities for students to use in the future.
