It is our goal at the Special Olympics Iowa to provide quality, year-round sports training and athletic competition to Iowa athletes with intellectual disabilities. Additional programs include health screenings, leadership training, and opportunities for young athletes, just to name a few. Currently nearly 12,00 athletes and Unified Sports Partners participate in Special Olympics Iowa events and competitions. With your generous support, our athletes are given opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.
