Dear Hupy and Abraham S.C.,

We wanted to take a minute to thank you for your support in the "2013 Kansas City Guns 'N Hoses Benefit Ride." As you know this year our benefit was for the Bernard family. Dennis Bernard is a volunteer firefighter in Bonner Springs. His five year old daughter Haley was diagnosed with Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia (JMML) last year. The only treatment that has resulted in cures for JMML is a bone marrow transplant. Fortunately his wife, Lyndsey was pregnant with their third child. The doctors were able to use the stem cells from the newborn baby, as they were an exact match for little Haley. Chemotherapy began on December 27, 2012, and the transplant occurred on January 4, 2013. We are happy to report that Haley is doing well.

In addition we are also happy to report that your contributions to our benefit allowed us to gift the family $12.500. We know that these funds will be put to great use as the medical procedures and high deductibles have left the family in financial strain. Again, we thank you and we know the Bernard family does too.

Thanks again for your generous support; we hope to continue to partner with you in the years to come.

Thank you,

Kansas City Guns 'N Hoses Committee
