Hupy and Abraham Attorney Doug Ross Wisconsin Wills for Veterans programHupy and Abraham, S.C. is proud of its track record of giving back to the communities it serves.  Recently, Attorney Doug Ross of our Wausau office spent a Saturday afternoon providing pro bono legal services to low-income veterans and their spouses from north-central Wisconsin.

As part of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s “Wills for Veterans” program, Attorney Ross and other local attorneys and paralegals assisted in preparing wills, powers of attorney for finances and property, powers of attorney for health care, and living wills for eligible veterans and their spouses.

“One of the missions of our firm is to do well by doing good,” said Attorney Ross.  “I’m always excited to help serve our community, and to give something back to our veterans who have sacrificed so much.  It was an incredibly enjoyable experience to serve these heroes, and their gratitude was overwhelming.  I’m looking forward to helping grow the ‘Wills for Veterans’ program in the area.”

This was the first “Wills for Veterans” clinic in north-central Wisconsin.  The volunteer attorneys and paralegals served 14 veterans and their spouses during the course of the day.
