On February 29, 2020, the Grand Slam Charity Jam was held at the Hyatt Regency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The annual event brings together charitable donors for a night of auctions, dinner and entertainment to raise money for Camp Hometown Heroes and Camp Reunite. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. was a proud sponsor of the event with several firm employees in attendance.
Popular musical acts and celebrities, including Jay Leno and Voices of Service, were on-site to help raise funds for both Camp Hometown Heroes, which is an overnight week-long summer camp that brings together children of fallen active-duty military and veterans, as well as Camp Reunite, which helps children visit incarcerated parents. With the support of Hupy and Abraham, more than $300,000 was raised over the course of the evening. During the event, several families that benefit from Camp Hometown Heroes spoke about how the camp has helped their children cope with the loss of active-duty military and veterans within their immediate families.
Hupy and Abraham has been proud to support the mission of Camp Hometown Heroes. In 2019, the firm donated thousands of dollars to the organization and Hupy and Abraham Managing Partner Jason Abraham visited with camp attendees over the summer. This year, employees from Hupy and Abraham will be donating money, supplies and volunteer time to Camp Hometown Heroes. Employee volunteers from the firm will build structures, landscape and help children during camp activities throughout the 2020 season.
Hupy and Abraham looks forward to supporting local organizations like Camp Hometown Heroes. The firm is committed to the community and has donated more than $1 million dollars to charities and organizations that help make our communities a better place.
