On May 12, 2010, Hupy and Abraham, S.C.'s client was crossing the street at the intersection of Highway M and Prairie Oaks Drive in Verona, Wisconsin. Although he was in a marked crosswalk, an inattentive driver failed to stop, resulting in an accident.
Our young client sustained a concussion in the accident and suffered more concussions during his high school sports career in the years that followed. The insurance company claimed the subsequent concussions were unrelated to the accident and offered just $3,000. Hupy and Abraham eventually settled the case in mediation for $22,500.
