Afterward, he had ongoing pain and significant facial swelling. The tooth next to the cracked tooth also required a root canal as a result of the incident. Both teeth were fitted with permanent crowns. He had a loose piece of bone protruding through the gums that had to be removed. He underwent numerous procedures for bone loss and chronic infection.
His dental bills totaled $4,503.31. The opening offer was $25,919.86. Attorney Jenna Green nearly doubled the offer and achieved a settlement of $45,000.
