Our client was traveling south on the interstate in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, when an intoxicated driver that was travelling the wrong way on the interstate struck him nearly head-on.  As a result of the collision, our client experienced a number of significant injuries including fractures of his left humerus, left femur, right calcaneus, right ribs, left clavicle, and sternum. 

In addition, the accident caused him some significant mental health struggles including, but not limited to, anxiety, PTSD, flashbacks, and insomnia.  His injuries required significant treatment including but not limited to hospital admission, multiple surgeries, visits with several specialists, and physical, speck, and occupational therapy and rehabilitation.  According to his medical treatment provider, the incident left our client with a permanent injury that often requires him to use a cane to assist with ambulation. 

Attorney Adrienne Sula able to resolve his claim with the liability carrier for the intoxicated driver for her policy and excess policy limits that totaled $120,000.00.  Further, we were able to resolve our client’s underinsured motorist claim for his policy limits of $25,000.00.  Finally, after filing suit against the bar that served the intoxicated driver immediately prior to the collision, we were able to resolve his DRAM case against the bar for an additional $225,000.00.  The total amount our client accepted to resolve his claims and/or case was $370,000.00.
