Stuart White, aged 48, of Randolph, was injured at 4:34 p.m. last Saturday when he lost control of his bike in a curve. White was traveling on Canada Island Road near Minnema Road in Fox Lake and was ejected from his motorcycle in the accident.

An emergency crew was rapidly on the scene, and White was airlifted to University Hospital and Clinics in Madison. His condition is unknown at this point.

According to a report by FDLreporter.com, less than an hour later and also in Douglas County, emergency personnel were called to the scene of a second bike crash. Jason Stewart, aged 41, of Beaver Dam, also lost control of his motorcycle on County Trunk ME in Hustisford. Stewart was ejected from the bike as it overturned in a ditch. He was transported by helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Stewart was declared to be in satisfactory condition Monday morning, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

In our columns, we have repeatedly stressed the importance for riders of riding with caution. Only safe motorcycling is fun and enjoyable. To keep the privilege of riding their bikes, motorcyclists need to adopt a mature approach to biking, one that recognizes the great vulnerability of the rider on the road.
