Our client was traveling south on Alpine Road in Rockford. As he approached and entered the intersection with Broadway, he had a yellow light. At the same time, a car coming from the opposite direction entered the intersection and attempted to make a left-hand turn in the intersection. The other driver told the police our client ran a red light. Police noted in the crash report, “Due to conflicting stories and no witnesses, no traffic citations were issued.”
The insurance company initially claimed that out client was at fault. Despite initially blaming our client for the crash, Attorney David Metnick was able to get the insurance company to settle for $100,000.
