Our client was working as a field laborer in a corn field when a deer ran out and struck him headfirst in the face. The incident was witnessed by a coworker, who reported that the deer charged directly at him and hit him with its front hoof. Our client had no recollection of the impact and regained consciousness in an ambulance. He had catastrophic work-related injuries to his ribs, facial injuries, thoracic and lumbar spine and left should injuries. Claimant returned to work for a short period of time but then relocated to be closer to family after being taken off work again for back pain. Attorney Jenna Cruise was able to secure a $175,000 settlement for this client.
