Our client was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his sister when their vehicle was completely stopped on the highway due to traffic from a separate accident. While stopped, they were violently rear-ended at highway speeds at approximately 70 mph.
As a result of the crash, our client suffered significant injuries, including neck and back pain, numbness in his right foot, left arm pain, and a lumbar disc herniation that resulted in permanent injuries.
The insurance company initially requested extensive prior medical records and made a low offer of just $150,000 at mediation. Attorney Jason Abraham filed a lawsuit and continued to aggressively advocate for full and fair compensation. Although the case did not settle at mediation on December 23, 2025, Attorney Abraham continued negotiations afterward and successfully increased the settlement to $625,000—more than four times the insurer’s original offer.
