In Spring 2011, Hupy and Abraham's client was waiting at a bus stop for her daily commute to work. As she approached the bus's open door, the door suddenly closed, knocking her to the ground and injuring her.
The bus driver insisted that he did nothing wrong. He claimed he didn't press the button that automatically closes the door. After examination, the bus company contended that there was no defect with the bus's door. The bus company offered no further explanation and refused to take responsibility for our client's injuries.
