Tony "Pan" Sanfelipo interviews Charlie Weisel about his custom motorcycle at the 2015 Pro Builder Invitational at the Harley Museum during the Milwaukee Rally.
Tony Pan 00:08: “Tony Pan Behind the Handlebars at Harley Davidson museum. And I’m here with Charlie Weisel. And this is a pretty unique bike here. Looks like an old school chopper. When I say long fern I’m not exaggerating. Tell me a little about the bike.”
Charlie Weisel 00:25: Basically the Bike has started off as a soft tail and about ten years ago it was bow and stock when I got it. Over the years things kind of wore out, fell or broke, kind of stayed off. And wore the suspension out on it pretty quick. Got about 153,000 miles on this bike now”
Tony Pan 00:47: “When you have a long fern like that they get really stable the faster they go but it gets a little harder when you go slow right”
Charlie 00:56: “You know, I feel like if you handle the bike correctly, it’ll handle well in the corners. We went on the Swiss Alps on it a few months ago and it handled just fine.”
Tony Pan 01:05: “What’s the rate on there?”
Charlie 1:06: “Got 53 degrees on the neck and 7 in the trees.”
Tony Pan 1:14: “And you noticed these stickers on there, these are most of the countries you traveled through in Europe?”
Charlie 1:19: “Yup that is correct. It also has been through 48 States in the United States. 48 here in continel US.
Tony Pan 1:25: “How does that front tire hold up?”
Charlie 1:28: “Not well. That’s the one part of the bike that does not hold up well.
Tony Pan 1:37: “Well it was great seeing this bike! It’s an old school look and I remember seeing long ferns choppers, I remember when everyone said it can’t be safe because it doesn’t look it! Okay thanks. Tony Pan at Behind the Handlebars.
