Hupy and Abraham Attends Northwest Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce Luncheon

Hupy and Abraham, S.C. attended the debut event for the Northwest Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce (NWMCC) Business Building Luncheon that took place at the Elk’s Lodge in Milwaukee on July 17.

NWMCC is a nonprofit organization created to address concerns of the community while creating and promoting business growth in the Northwest area. The mission of NWMCC states: “The Northwest Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce effectively promotes the business interest of Milwaukee and is the leading advocate for the growth and enhancement of our community on the northwest side of Milwaukee.” The NWMCC also allows businesses and community leaders to support local causes and organizations and to give better access to a full network of people.

Over 60 owners and representatives from area businesses gathered to learn more about the organization, while expanding their own contacts. The attendees, including state legislators, were able to network and greet each other before the program.

NWMCC's Board Char Richard Bruss and Executive Director Kola Alayande welcomed the attendees to the luncheon and spoke about the importance of the organization and why it needs to prosper as an aid for the community.The highlight of the event was keynote speaker_, Tim McMurtry from Mueller Communications. He advised the attendees on the importance of early networking when it comes to small businesses. Most of his advice was coupled with anecdotes to further explain his points. McMurtry left a positive impression on the group that was clearly noticeable during a second round of networking.
