The Neighborhood House of Milwaukee held its 33rd Annual Gala November 9, 2023, at Discovery World. Hupy and Abraham, S.C. has been a proud sponsor of the Neighborhood House for over 10 years. The proceeds of this event go toward the food pantry, early childcare, programs for teens and many other things.
Guests were welcomed to Discovery World and given the opportunity to participate in fund-raising activities, including a silent auction filled with fun items and activities to do around the Milwaukee area.
Mark Baden, chief meteorologist at WISM 12, emceed the gala. Guests were welcomed by the executive director, Jon Janowski, which was then followed by a video explaining all the important work Neighborhood House does. After dinner, guest speakers included Pastor Patrick Greer Sr. and Htee Paw, an ILP bilingual support specialist at Neighborhood House. After bidding for donations, they ended the night with an awards ceremony. Mya Mays, a Neighborhood House teen program participant, won the Ray Woods Youth of the Year award. Pi Beta Phi was the recipient of the Ray Richardson Award.
